After a wren tried to build a nest in the armpit of a fleece I had hanging in my garage port, I Attached an old, leaking walking boot to the upright and within hours, he had started building. I'm hoping they will raise a family here!
This box is mounted on a tree at the top part of the quarry section of my garden. I was thrilled when a nuthatch pair decided they would like to nest here. They are currently bringing in bark, which is what they make their nest from.
This feeding platform has been built from foraged materials from the garden. Mossy logs, ferns and branches create a space for a range of species to feed. The platform is positioned in a small copse at the top of my garden.
I'm excited to be hosting this incredible Hobby nest cam from Jason Fathers from Wildlife Windows. This set-up is a remote cam in rural Dorset and is a labour of love for Jason!
There is a small wildlife pond in my garden. I created a shallow platform at one end, to make a space for drinking and bathing. I have been amazed by the number of visitors, especially in cold weather. Watch out for frogs which are now appearing!
