What Feeder?

With so many different feeders on the market, what are the best choices out there? I take a look at some of my favourites....

The most important consideration when buying a bird feeder is how easy it is to clean. The feeders I like best are those that come apart easily for cleaning or those that can easily be scrubbed in a bowl of hot, soapy water. I keep cloths and antibacterial spray at all my feeding stations and it is a daily ritual for me. I thoroughly clean them every week.

Disease can easily be spread at bird feeders, especially if the food is wet and birds can walk and defecate in it. You would not keep eating your food from unwashed plates, week after week.... so I want to treat my feeding stations in the same way as I would my own food. It is better to have one, good feeder and to keep it clean, than to have lots of cheap ones that are impossible to take apart.

These are a few of my favourites.......
