I have gone crazy this weekend, making some different feeders to trial in the garden. It is not surprising I am getting a lot of birds visiting…. I am feeding just about every variety of food now!
I have been creating a selection of feeders designed for families to make at home. These all use a lard /suet mix with a range of different fillings placed in a range of different containers:
– Cut some apples in half and pack the suet/lard into these
– Pack some a round a stick (not the most attractive one, but attracted a lot of interest!)
– Scoop out a squash (or similar) and pack this with the suet/lard mix.
