I think a combination of hot weather and the mobility of the larger chicks has meant that some of the chicks have climbed a bit out of the nest ‘pit’ and today I managed to see seven chicks again, although a couple are much smaller. They seem so much bigger than yesterday, but I think that is because I am actually seeing their whole bodies out in the open and I had not quite appreciated how much they had really grown and developed…. quite amazing!
