A few days ago, I uploaded a clip of a wood mouse blocking one of the entrance holes to clay cavern… to prevent other creatures coming in to steal this stash of food (although there is another tunnel exit as well!). This morning , when I checked the cams, I was astounded by the lengths this mouse had gone to… it had created a really impressive barricade of gravel, leaves, twigs and all sorts, absolutely packed in the pipe and then all piled up inside. I just had to open clay cavern and take some pictures… quite hard as it is not very easy to access.
It is amazing what a little wood mouse can achieve in one night!
