Kestrel Update

Exciting news on the kestrel front, when they were seen mating on the live camera on Sunday! I missed it sadly, and did not have it on record… can’t believe I missed that vital piece of their story! Never mind…. may be they will ‘perform’ again on camera!  

It is looking more and more promising, with the male around this area most of the day and making visits to the nest box several times a day. The female spent a while there again today as well. I am not sure how long it is from mating until laying, but need to do a bit of research to find out more about what we can expect to see during the coming months. It is going to be great viewing!
