Just had to add a bit to my blog post from today, as this morning I set the Bushnell NatureView, with the 46cm close-up lens on Allan Bantick’s feeders as he has been having Crested tits visiting. The feeders were not ideal, as they are caged and there is not a clear view of the nut feeder and it was difficult to set the Bushnell up so it looked through one of the gaps. I was not very confident about the image I was going to get as it was difficult to gauge the view… I thought it would be good to show these tits visiting the feeders which are right outside his house. I set the Bushnell to take 2 shots per trigger. It has been quite a dull day,so the images are not very bright but it performed well and I had nearly 900 images on the card!
On the way out to get something to eat tonight, I collected the Bushnell and took a look to see what I had captured.
I did, indeed, capture some cresties… in fact on one capture, there were 2 of them. Here are a selection of the best ones, where I could see it clearly.. sometimes it came a little too close! These NatureViews, with the close-up lens, are a great way of monitoring feeders for a day!
