Make your own wildlife waterhole

Water is essential in any wildlife garden. This simple project can create water in in your garden for birds to drink and bathe in. You may get some mammals visiting too. Using an old tyre, some waterproof material and a sprinkling of imagination, you can easily create something that looks great in the garden and is a valuable asset to wildlife as well!

What do I need?

  • 1 old tyre

  • A spade and trowel

  • A spirit level

  • A piece of waterproof material, larger than your tyre

  • Some logs, rocks and plants

  • Lots of creative imagination!
