The badgers at Yew View are active at the moment and we are lucky enough to be capturing on the cameras in daylight now, as they often emerge just as the light begins to fade….
They have been using both setts on site; the original one, without internal cameras and our new one with the cameras in the sett chambers.
There are four individuals who use the camera sett, but commonly, it is three. These individuals look very relaxed and comfortable in there…
I also captured this funny behaviour from one individual. I am presuming it is being playful as there seems no aggression. I think these are young badgers, possibly last year’s cubs…
I am hoping that we will see this year’s cubs appearing on site very soon…….
