Having just returned from a long weekend away in Wales, one of the first things I did was to have a quick look to see what had been happening in my nest boxes whilst I had been away! In fact, I missed this rather special clip first time around. I am now using iCatcher Console, which means I can check through all the motion detected footage from each camera. I have had nothing captured at this box, other than random false triggers and a stock dove. On a second look through, I noticed a single blip on the timeline at 5am on the 1st April. I clicked on ‘play’….. and just could not believe what I was seeing! To say I was excited is an understatement, as I shrieked with delight, causing my daughter to race out of her room to find me dancing around with excitement….. this was why…..
It seems that this owl has only visited the once. I just hope it returns. It certainly looked interested and that little ‘wing fluttering’ in the box suggested it was trying it out for size. It would be a dream come true if I got an owl in here! Watch this space for more updates!! :o)
