I was quite suprised to find all the chicks still in the nestbox when I returned from work today! The 3 larger ones have full sets of feathers and spent a lot of today preening and stretching their wings. It looks quite squashed in there and the chicks are as big as the parents now! The smaller chicks are beginning to get their feathers, but I think it will be the end of the week before they go. I so hope they wait until Wednesday…. I can have my camera at the ready and the screen on watching them. Then it’ll be a mad dash to the garden to try and capture them leaving!
