Well, no eggs yet….. my bluetit seemed to roost all night in the nestbox, but they have still been collecting soft materials to line the nest today. I watched them collect it at the nesting feeder and then appear in the nestbox with my dog’s fur or some feathers! (see the nesting feeder pictures on today’s posts) The green nest box is still getting a couple of visitors a day but no materials being bought in and the odd box seems to have no interest now. A couple of heads have popped in, but I am pretty convinced that all this moss was bought in by my oak tree pair….. then they decided on the oak tree nestbox! I am wondering if another bird would now come and finish off what someone else started?
