I am lucky enough to get lots of different species regularly visiting my feeders, but it is always fantastic when a more uncommon visitor makes an appearance and I manage to capture it on my system. Last year, I had one lesser redpoll visit… I only saw it on one day and it was a first for my patch! Over the winter, I have had single siskin visit very infrequently, but this week, two appeared and posed right in front of the camera!
They are pretty little things, often visiting with the goldfinches and greenfinches who are always on the feeders. I was really pleased to be able to capture some clips and I hope these two return, with more of their mates!
