Sad news

I went to check my cameras tonight and was extremely sad to see that my blackbird nest has been raided and all the chicks taken. I know they were OK this morning as I have been out in the garden most of today and I could hear them cheeping as the parents brought food in and out. I can only presume it was a crow or magpie. The camera has been knock sideways and the edge of the nest has been damaged. Such a shame. I have really been enjoying watching these youngsters and was looking forward to them growing up and fledging. Sadly, these things happen. I will miss watching them. Just have to hope I can locate another nest somewhere.
