Maryland Adventure: Part 2 – Bushnell Captures

Writer: WildlifeKateWildlifeKate

When I came out to Maryland, most of my luggage was trail cams and camera kit! Going to a new area, full of wildlife I have never seen before, meant I was really excited to get as many trail cams as I could out in the surrounding area to see what was about and also to create some feeding stations on which I could use the NatureView and its close-up lenses.

Dave and I have been setting Bushnells all over Ed’s land and we go every two or three days and change the cards over. There are loads of garden birds too and I am SO enjoying seeing all of these new species and learning to identify them all.

I have a ridiculous amount of trail cam footage and will be using my hours at airports on the way home, to process some of it, but I have chosen a small selection for this blog post.

This possum came to some corn remnants we put out…

I mounted a trailcam under a small wooden bridge over a stream in the woods. It turns out that it is a raccoon highway… with individuals back and forth all night!

This clip is a white tailed deer… common in these woods. I mounted the Bushnell on a cross road in the track…

These clips are on a variety of feeding stations I have set up close to Ed’s house. I love watching all these new species and I am beginning to be able to identify most of the commonest species that are visiting. I am using the natureView with the 60cm lens for these clips. #gallery-19243-19 { margin: auto; } #gallery-19243-19 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-19243-19 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-19243-19 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
