Jackdaw ‘take-over’

I am getting a little concerned now that I have not had my kestrel pair return to visit the nest box. I have been running i-catcher on the box 24-7, but not even a brief visit for nearly a week. The jackdaws are taking advantage of this and spending time visiting both kestrel boxes… different pairs in each, so we may be learning a lot more about the lives of these corvids, who I must admit, I have quite a soft spot for. They are very animated and fun to watch. I would rather have kestrels, but if they have changed their mind, then I think these birds would make for quite entertaining viewing as well.
