Green Sandpiper

Whilst in the kingfisher hide up at Kevin Bromley’s patch, we were treated to some excellent views of this little bird…. after some checking in ID books, I believe it is a green sandpiper. I have never seen one before and this attractive little wader spent a good five minutes feeding and bathing in the shallows right outside the hide! It gave me a wonderful opportunity to get lots of photos… these are some of my favourites….
