Been a bit quiet on the blog front for the last week or so… have been away and busy on other projects soon to be announced! At the weekend, however, whilst sitting in my conservatory waiting for the birds to discover my new feeders, I thought I would create a list of all the birds I have seen in my garden since I have lived here… some 12 years now. I am going to create a page with all of these at the top of the page, but will list them here to start with… quite amazing when you see them all together!….
Birds seen on a regular basis:
Great tit, Blue tit, Coal tit, Long tailed tit, blackbird, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Wren, Nuthatch, Wood pigeon, Magpie, Jackdaw, Robin, Dunnock
Others:
Song thrush, Starling, House sparrow, Tree sparrow, Siskin, Goldcrest, Bullfinch, Pheasant, Redwing, Fieldfare, Sparrowhawk, Tawny owl, Collared dove, Stock dove, Crow, Treecreeper, Crow, Blackcap, chiffchaff, Willow warbler, Spotted flycatcher, Great spotted woodpecker
Other species, in field next to garden:
Buzzard, Kestrel, Swallow, Swift, Yellow hammer, Pied wagtail, Green woodpecker
That’s a total of 36 species actually seen in the garden and an additional 7 very close to the garden….. not bad!
