We woke this morning to a cm of snow and freezing conditions. As expected, the feeders have been very busy all day….. but today was special as I had a very handsome visitor. A stunning male bullfinch visited my sunflower feeder and I was thrilled to be able to watch this beauty and photograph him.
Up until earlier this year, I had never seen bullfinches actually in the garden. I hope now he has discovered the feeders, he will continue to visit. The colours are so bright… that coral chest so vibrant against the black of his head… a truly beautiful bird!
I managed to get a quick video, but this was handheld through the conservatory window!…
