Tomorrow, I will be heading to lovely Rutland Water for this year’s BirdFair! As Bushnell’s UK Ambassador, I will be spending the three days with Bushnell on their stand in the lovely Optics Marquee. Joined by lots of other brill people from the team both here and from Bushnell’s offices across the world, we will all be on hand to showcase all the latest Bushnell products!
For those who are not familiar with BirdFair, it is an event often describes as a ‘Wildlifewatcher’s Glastonbury’ and is jointly organised by the Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust and the RSPB.
The show encompasses the whole spectrum of the birdwatching industry whilst at the same time supporting global bird conservation. This is the event of the year if you’re into birds and wildlife. A wide range of fantastic conservation projects have been supported by Birdfair and last year, a record breaking £280,000 was raised to help advance the designation of new marine protected areas and to enrich worldwide marine wildlife.
There are hundreds of stands selling the latest products for wildlife enthusiasts. You’ll find everything, from scopes to sculptures, binoculars to bird food, eGuides to eco-holidays! The images used on this advert show my captures using the NatureView series. I have captured some of my best work with these amazing trail cams and the technology gets better each year!
Now, added to the portfolio, are the Equinox series of night vision. I have been using this kit and captured some great night-time videos, most exciting being Storm Petrels in the Broch at Mousa, on a trip to Shetland this year.
