After the success with the Bushnell and 60cm close-up lens on the CJWildlife bird bath, I decided to try with the 46cm lens. This lens means the camera is closer to the bird bath, so the field of view is narrower. I wanted to get footage that showed more of a close up when the bird bathed or drunk from the pool.
The set-up is more precise and the focus has to be exactly right, as there is not much depth of focus.
I checked the card after a day out and was pretty pleased with the results… this video is a compilation of some of the clips.
I lifted some stills from the footage as well…..With good light and if you get the focus correct, its close-up images are difficult to beat.
