Whilst clearing a lot of overgrown foliage over the weekend, I suddenly saw a movement. This guy hopped out! I haven’t seen a toad for ages. I had my little Panasonic camera, which is small enough to get down low to the ground, at eye level. I took a few shots, before it disappeared back into the safety of the undergrowth. I was quite pleased with the results from a compact camera. The low angle and macro facility allowed me to get pretty close.
Here are a few examples and the entire set can be see on my Flickr account at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wildlifekate/sets/72157630271099870/
It goes to show, you don’t need a mega expensive DSLR to get up close and personal with the wildlife in your garden!
