To say that 2012 was an amazing year for me feels a bit of an understatement! So much has happened. Appearing on BBC Springwatch, Gardeners' World and Midlands today, as well as having an article published in BBC wildlife magazine have all been amazing highlights. Combined with that was exhibiting at BirdFair and Gardeners' World Live and appearing on Gardeners' World chatting to Rachel DeThame in the RHS Gold winning Garden! That is without mentioning all the most amazing wildlife and footage that I have been able to capture this year in my patch... from foxes and their cubs, bird box families to the residents of Clay Cavern that inspired the Mammal Stump on Springwatch and Autumnwatch. Then there were all my hedgehogs visiting, meeting the wonderful Joan at West Midlands Hedgehog Rescue and then that leading on to me raising money for her through my Christmas Competition where lots of amazing companies supported me with over £500 worth of wildlife kit, all won by a very lucky Tanya Ware!
Then, of course, my amazing win of a spectacular safari to Zambia for next year, a contract for 2013 working with Bushnell to help them promote the use of their products in the Wildlife market and a new teaching job! It certainly has been a spectacular year, and I must offer a massive thanks to all the wonderful followers I have met through Twitter, Facebook and 'in the Flesh' at various shows throughout the year. It is sharing all of this with all of you that has helped to make it such a memorable year..... here's to 2013 and all the wonderful experiences, wildlife and people I hope to encounter on my journey! I can't believe it can be any better than 2012.... but who knows.. jump aboard and join me into 2013!
